1 point vs. 2 point perspective
How can you make it appear that a painting is actually hanging on a wall? How can you make buildings appear to be real instead of flat?
PERSPECTIVE
First step: Let draw in 1point perspective, a room!
-The most complicated step here we found in making a couch!
Key things to remember when drawing 1point perspective:
-all objects lead to the vanishing point
-lines are parallel to the starting line
-rulers are handy
Second step: Practice that 2point perspective! City Scape time.

Seeing Space and Form
Students then drew their sculptures from a variety of views. Once again we pushed their understanding of space, instead of a simple composition they were presented with many angles, forms, and also value. After mastering the art of creating value and form with charcoal they then took their original drawings and created a second drawing. The second drawing had to be drawn into reverse with white pencil. Reverse is when you focus on the highlights of the object instead of its shadowed areas. They used the cross-hatching technique to match their original drawings.
We started this lesson by actually looking at the negative space with in simple compositions. ....
