Artist of January!
Jardyn!!!!
Jardyn also has many artists in his family. Last semster I always found him sitting there in silence and what seemed to be deep thought......

....this semster he seemed to be a new person stepping into the room with so much energy and humor. In his german expressionist influenced print you can really get a sense his character. I believe he was the only student that choose a humorous unstead of depressing event, the search for Bigfoot.
German Expressionist Printmaking
We started out the 2nd semster studing work from the German Expressionists. They lived during the time of WW2 and were declared emenies of the state by Hitler. Most of their art was destroyed and many weren't even allowed to have paint supplies in their possession.
Students also thought about current events that effect their lifes and then transfomed them into the German Expressionist style.

Artist of December!!
TORI!!!!!
She was very surprised to discover she was artist of December. Probably because she always seems to get upset with whatever new art material she is working with. Tori says it actually never works the way she wants it to. Photography is the art form that Tori most enjoys, but I believe through the struggle of each new art media she discovers what first may have seemed impossible is not.
